As I walked down the beach recently, I picked up whatever trash had washed up on the shore and thought about the damage plastic is doing to our environment. I always find plastic, Styrofoam, delated balloons and ribbon littering the beach and other public places.
Do you know how many things in your life are made of plastic nowadays? Homes are wrapped in plastic siding. The new type of wooden decking, carpet, floor paneling, and paint now use plastic. Car manufacturers have replaced a lot of metal with plastic because it’s not as heavy. Almost every child’s toy is plastic. Many unnatural beauty products contain copolymer, not to mention the polypropylene micro-particles found in many scrubs. Even the clothing you wear is made of nylon, rayon, and polyester. When we wash these items, the micro-particles are rinse out of our washing machines through our sewer system and into our rivers, bays, and oceans, and end up in krill and fish. This means we’re even eatingplastic! 100% cotton is the solution, but doesn’t have the stretch and wrinkle free advantages. My solution is for washing machines to add a filter like the dryer has that need to be cleaned often. But they will not do it if we don’t demand it.

Instead of throwing away or recycling glass jars that your spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, salsa etc. come in, reuse the jars to store food or take them with you when you’re buying bulk foods.

Instead of plastic containers to store you food consider adding more glassware to your cabinets. As long as you avoid glass with lead it is much safer to use glass containers leftovers or to use them to pack your lunch for work. Of course do not pack the kiddies lunch in glassware as that is another safety matter.

I looked high and low for the right product for to relieve the symptoms of my Rosacea. There wasn’t an organic lotion for it that didn’t contain alcohol or other harsh chemicals that irritate skin. I found that many of the very inexpensive moisturizers list water as the first ingredient. We all know oil and water don’t mix, so alcohol is typically added along with other emulsifiers to make water and oil blend in cosmetic products, some of them toxic. Why should we put poisonous ingredients on our skin when a lot of it absorbs into the skin and makes its way to the blood stream?
I had always researched different ingredients that were very nutrient and antioxidant rich. Just like eating organic foods is better than ingesting supplements, using organic nutrient rich plant oils are much more beneficial for your skin than factory made oils. For example, I don’t use Vitamin E or Vitamin C oils, as they are created in factories and I can get the proper nutrients from plant oils instead. 2 medium carrots
1in cube ginger, unpeeled
4 small asparagus spears
Small handful parsley

Juice all ingredients together and stir in chosen powdered greens (if applicable) just before serving. Makes one large glass.
SPOT-FREE SKIN JUICE (for blemish flareups)
2 green apples
1/2 cup fresh beetroot
4 medium carrots
1/2 cup cabbage
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Method In a juicing machine, juice the pear, apples, beetroot, carrots and cabbage. Add the apple cider vinegar before serving. Remember to make only enough to drink all at once. Also it's important to use a juicer to make these recipes not a blender like some of the TV brands such as Ninja or Magic Bullet.

Create a V shape with index finger and thumb, placing at the upper corners of the mouth. In the same position, place the other hand on top of the first hand. Raise eyes and force a smile against lightly pressed fingers.
